Chinese lacquer box medium (2)

This box was designed for storage. I can just imagine what it’s contents have been over the years!  Its from China from the early 20th century.  The box is beautifully painted on lacquer on all sides.  What a gorgeous decorative piece to have on a dresser or sideboard.
